At Conquer Hiking and Trekking we pride ourselves on organising and facilitating a range of walks and challenging events for all age groups and abilities. It is important to get people enjoying the great outdoors across the UK and beyond for both their physical and mental well-being.

We also work alongside various charities and other not-for-profit organisations, understanding just how vital fundraising is to them and their beneficiaries, even more so during these recent challenging times.

Each year we aim to give something back to a handful of charities from the entry fees to our various walks and events. A minimum donation of 10% of each entry fee from all of our public walks is donated to our chosen charity. We also support other charities with donations from other walks and events held throughout the year.

We are very pleased to announce that in 2021 our nominated charity and recipient of the public walk donations will be The Steve Prescott Foundation.

The Steve Prescott Foundation (SPF) is the very proud legacy of Steve Prescott MBE. Steve was diagnosed with a rare abdominal cancer pseudomyxoma peritonei (PMP) in 2006. Steve was a former professional rugby league international who undertook many challenges during his battle with cancer. He set up the SPF in 2007 and is the inspiration to people who support his chosen charities. He passed away in 2013 following pioneering multi visceral transplant surgery.

The donations to the SPF go to support The Christie Hospital in Manchester and the Rugby League Benevolent Fund.
To find out more about The Steve Prescott Foundation please visit their Facebook page or have a look at their website: www.steveprescottfoundation.co.uk.

Please keep an eye on our website, www.conquerhiking.com, and like/follow our Facebook page www.facebook.com/Conquerhiking, for news on all upcoming walks and events in 2021/2022. There are a few walks already lined up and open for general registration. We will be adding plenty of walks and events to the calendar throughout the year as and when the current restrictions are eased and lifted.

We are also encouraging individuals, groups and organisations to get in touch with us during the lockdown period to discuss how we can help them in organising a bespoke event. Together we can lay the groundwork now and put plans in place to enable your event to be ready to go once the restrictions are lifted. If you would like our help, experience and assistance in planning your walk or challenge then get in touch with your ideas by emailing info@conquerhiking.com and we can put a plan in place.
